Sustainability

We have changed the roofing on part of the production facility to let in natural light. We believe that people work better in natural light, creating a friendlier and healthier working environment.

chain of custody

We have switched from conventional aluminium plates to processless plates, eliminating all chemicals from the process. The plates we use today are cleaned with water from the rotary presses. This has reduced our environmental impact and means we use less aggressive products on the presses.

We have switched from mineral-based inks to vegetable-based inks, both for printing book bodies on the rotary presses and for printing book covers.

We have increased our electricity production from photovoltaic panels, and in the future we plan to install batteries to reuse surplus energy.

We have replaced the lighting throughout the production facility with led lights with motion sensors, thereby reducing unnecessary electricity consumption.

We have integrated production processes that were previously outsourced, thereby reducing our carbon footprint.

We have reduced our waste. We are currently able to recycle 99% of all the material we use to make books.

It is an ongoing process.
