about us
We are a technical and professional team that carries out all phases of book production, from advice and pre-printing to final finishing. A diverse, transversal, proactive and committed team.
We have come a long way. Our beginnings date back to the mid-1950s. We began our journey in Capellades (Barcelona) with a clear commitment: to print and bind books with very good quality. Two generations and many people have passed. Thanks to the clients we have, who have trusted us over the years, we are still here today, with the third generation, the team renewed and changing and modernizing ways of working to continue providing good service and taking care of our clients.

At the Romanyà Valls printing house we offer a wide range of services for printing and binding books. Our commitment is to provide a comprehensive service that covers the entire process, from pre-printing to the finished book. This way we can manage the entire life cycle of books efficiently and ensure that they are produced with quality.
We have the technology and equipment necessary to handle the printing of short, medium and long-run books, both in paperback and hardcover. We print using offset and digital inkjet technologies.

sustainability
We have changed the roof of part of the production center, to work with natural light. We believe that natural light works better, creating a friendlier and healthier environment at work.
We are PEFC and FSC certified to ensure the traceability of the chain of custody of the materials used in the books, paper, covers, covers. The paper we offer our customers is certified by one of the two entities.
We have changed the processed aluminum plates to unprocessed plates, removing all the chemicals from the process. The plates we currently use are cleaned with water from the presses. This has reduced the environmental impact, and we use less aggressive products in the presses.
We have changed from mineral-based inks to vegetable-based inks, both in rotary printing, where the book’s spine is printed, and in printing the book’s cover.
We have increased the production of electricity that comes from photovoltaic panels, we plan to install batteries in the future to be able to reuse the solar energy that we produce in dark hours.
We have changed the lighting in the entire production center to LED lights with motion sensors, to reduce unnecessary electricity consumption.
We have integrated production processes that were previously outsourced to reduce the carbon footprint.
We have reduced our waste. We can now recycle 99% of all the products we use to make books.
It is a continuous process.
